| Target audience note | Durante décadas, Estados Unidos ha sido un destino atractivo para los migrantes centroamericanos. En el pasado, las guerras civiles y dictaduras fueron los principales desencadenantes de dicha migración. Ahora, ocurre por problemas sociales y económicos que limitan las oportunidades de progreso. Por ello, la migración de centroamericanos ha ganado un lugar más prominente en la agenda política de los EE.UU. No obstante, eso no exime la responsabilidad de los países centroamericanos en desincentivar la migración irregular de sus ciudadanos. |
